Mahindra XUV500

Comes the first vehicle of India’s Mahindra brand developed for the global market. This is the XUV500, with a new 2.2 liter common rail turbo diesel with 140 hp. It has capacity for 7 passengers and a full standard.

The new Mahindra XUV500, presented at the Bologna Motor Show, is (according to its creators) much more than an SUV of 7 seats. This is the first Indian company vehicle designed for the global market. This model is equipped with the new m-Hawk engine common rail 2.2-liter, 4 cylinder, 16 valves, variable geometry turbo. The total power reaching the engine is 140 hp, and is associated with a brand new gearbox 6-speed. It also comes standard with disc brakes with ABS and electronic brake distribution.

To optimize performance in these situations, the engineers opted for a brand-independent architecture (McPershon on the front axle and multi-link in the rear) fitted with springs and stabilizer bar. It also has stability control (ESP) and roll system as standard.

Mahindra has confirmed that the XUV500 will be available in 4×2 and 4×4 AWD (all-wheel drive). The 4×4 AWD is equipped with a system of interactive force management, intelligently, transfers torque to all four wheels, the driver can lock the device AWD if the soil conditions require it.

On the envelope, the Mahindra XUV500 have two different finishes, the W6 and W8. The highest version equipped as standard six airbags, dual zone automatic climate control, stability control (ESP), descent (HDC) and outstanding boot, ABS with EBD, tire-tronics, IntelliPark, cruise control, navigation system GPS and monitor “touch screen”, integrated stereo with CD/MP3 and USB port and alloy wheels.
